Terms of Use
Using Beatbake — the fair, plain version
The short version: Beatbake is a free, public guide to what live music is on in Australia. Use it however you like to find a gig. Our listings are real and verified, but times and details can change — so always confirm with the venue or ticket seller before you head out. Here’s the honest detail.
What Beatbake is
Beatbake answers “what live music is on near me?” for anyone, with no account and no app required. We pull gigs from real, verified sources and never invent listings to fill a gap — an empty night is shown as empty. Even so, gigs get moved, sold out, or cancelled by the venue, and details can be wrong or out of date. Beatbake is a guide, not a guarantee: before you travel or buy, confirm the gig with the venue or the official ticket seller.
Using the site
You’re welcome to browse, search, share links, and add gigs to your calendar — that’s what it’s for, and it’s free. Please don’t misuse it: no scraping or bulk-harvesting the listings to rebuild a competing database, no attempts to break, overload, or interfere with the site, and nothing unlawful. The “near me” answer is never gated behind a login.
Tickets, directions and outbound links
When you buy tickets, get directions, or open a band’s socials, you leave Beatbake and go to another company’s site. We don’t sell tickets and we’re not a party to that purchase — the price, the booking, the refund, and that site’s own terms and privacy policy are between you and them. We link to official sources in good faith but can’t control or vouch for what happens on another company’s site.
Bands and venues
Listings are drawn from real public sources. If you’re an artist or a venue and something about your gig is wrong, or you’d like a correction or removal, just email us — we’ll sort it out. Putting your band on Beatbake is free.
Our name and the site
The Beatbake name, look, and the design and code of this site are ours. The underlying facts — who’s playing, where and when — belong to the artists, venues and ticket sellers they describe; we just gather and present them. Please don’t copy our branding or pass your site off as Beatbake.
No warranty, and your consumer rights
Beatbake is provided “as is”. We work hard to keep it accurate, current and available, but we don’t promise it will always be complete, error-free, or uninterrupted, and to the extent the law allows we’re not liable for loss that comes from relying on a listing without confirming it. None of this limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law — where those guarantees apply, they apply, and nothing here is meant to exclude them.
Changes
We’ll keep improving the site, and we may update these terms from time to time. The date below shows when this page last changed; carrying on using Beatbake after a change means you’re happy with the current version. These terms are governed by the law of Western Australia, Australia.
